Frequently asked questions
How do I log my mood?
In the Calendar tab, tap the day, pick one of the five emojis (😁 Happy, 🙂 Cool, 😶 Meh, 🙁 Sad, 😭 Crushed), then tap Validate. The day instantly takes the color of your mood.
Future days can't be selected: you only log what you've lived!
Can I edit or fill in a past day?
Yes. Just tap the day in the calendar: you can change the mood, activities and note as often as you like. The Details tab lists all your recorded days.
How do I change or turn off the daily reminder?
Go to Settings: the Notifications switch turns the reminder on or off, and Notification Time lets you choose when it fires (8 pm by default).
Not getting anything? Make sure notifications are allowed in iOS Settings → Notifications → Moodelito, then restart the app.
How do I customize my activities?
In Settings → Activities → Manage activities, you can add an activity (an emoji + a name), edit it, delete it or change the display order.
If you change an activity's emoji, your whole history is updated automatically.
How do I back up my data?
In Settings → Backup my data, tap Backup via mail. Moodelito prepares an email with all your days in a MoodlyBackup.json file: send it to any address you like (your own, for example).
This button requires an account set up in Apple's Mail app; otherwise it stays greyed out.
What happens if I delete the app or get a new iPhone?
Your data is stored only on your device. If you delete the app, it is erased along with it, so make an email backup first.
Like any app, Moodelito's data is included in your iPhone backup (iCloud or computer) if you have it turned on: restore a new iPhone from that backup and your calendar comes back.
Is my data synced between iPhone and Mac?
Not at the moment: each device keeps its own calendar. That's the trade-off of an app with no server and no account. If you'd like sync, let me know: feedback shapes the roadmap.
Is the app really free?
Yes: no subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads.
Which languages are available?
English and French. The app automatically follows your iPhone's language.
